Customer Care Information

Register any time!
We’ll gladly pro-rate tuition or schedule makeup classes if you join after the Kindermusik semester begins or if you start lessons part-way through the month.

Kindermusik Payments
Pay in full for the semester with check or credit card or choose our three-pay payment option with credit card or automatic bank draft.  To confirm your enrollment, payment by check, cash, or credit card is due with registration.

Payment for vocal, instrumental, and art lessons
NEW for 2008-09!! EZ Auto-Pay! No more late fees and no more remembering to send in a check.  Our convenient new payment method, EZ Auto-Pay, is easy and hassle-free for you. Simply inform us of your payment preference – credit card, debit card, or automatic bank draft – on your registration form, and we’ll automatically charge your account on the 1st of every month.

Although we strongly encourage families to choose EZ Auto-Pay, we are currently still accepting checks.  Payment is due by the 1st of the month, and a late fee of $20 will be charged for any payments not received by the 5th of the month.  Lessons will be suspended for any account over 10 days past due.  A NSF fee of $20 will be assessed for any declined electronic funds or returned check.

Registration Fees
The registration fee for adult students is $15. The annual registration fee of $35 for school-age students includes the cost of registration, the assignment notebook, recital fees, Music Fest fees, and a year’s subscription to Piano Explorer.  Fees for other events are collected separately. Kindermusik semester fees are all-inclusive.

For students taking monthly art classes, there is a $15 registration and supply fee for each monthly art class, but there is no annual registration for students in art classes.

Make up Lessons
Kindermusik classes may be made up in any class with extra room.  Simply call the office to schedule in advance.

In fairness to all students in our vocal, instrumental, and art lessons, and out of respect for the weekly lesson time teachers specifically reserve for each student, only one makeup lesson can be scheduled per fall or spring semester.  (Makeup lessons should be reserved for extenuating circumstances.) Lesson time cannot be extended for being late. All lessons missed due to teacher absence or snow days will be made up. Tuition is due regardless of missed lessons.

Thirty-Day Notice of Cancellation
If a school-age or adult student must discontinue lessons, a one-month (30-day) notice from the 1st of the month is required.  Payment is still due during this time.  The written notice must be faxed to 232-0709 or mailed to the PCS Office at 430 Beckenham Lane, Greenville, SC, 29609.  Payment is due during this time whether or not lessons are taken.  Automatic payments will stop after the 30-day notice period.

Materials and Supplies
Kindermusik At Home materials are included in the semester fee, and will be given out at the first class. Materials are not needed for class, but are designed for your use and enjoyment at home.

Students taking instrumental lessons need an instrument in the home for daily practice. Practice requirements and goals will vary according to teacher assignments and student levels. The more practice, the more progress!

You will be notified of bills for music or extra supplies as needed. These charges will be applied to your account, and charged at the same time as the current month’s payment. If paying by check, these charges should be reimbursed by the next lesson.

Parental Involvement
Parental support is crucial to the success of each student. To keep parents informed, we regularly communicate via email or flyers. Students in vocal or instrumental lessons also have an assignment notebook to facilitate communication between studio and home. As always, we welcome your feedback!

We love to hear from you!
